West Windsor Township Police Department has announced an upcoming Citizens’ Academy through the Community Policing Unit. The free, 10-week program includes classroom and practical exercises covering criminal and traffic law, DWI, domestic violence, criminal and accident investigations, and a two-hour ride along with an officer on patrol. Open to anyone 18 years of age or older who lives or works in West Windsor Township. Auditions

Princeton Festival announces chorus auditions for “Sweeney Todd,” on Saturday, March 12, and Wednesday, March 16. Rehearsals begin in May for July performances. These are paid positions. To schedule an appointment E-mail: chorus@princetonfestival.org.

Villagers Theater has auditions for Martin McDonah’s dramedy “A Skull in Connemara” on Tuesday and Thursday, March 1 and 3, 7:30 p.m. 415 DeMott Lane, Somerset. Three men and one woman with Irish accents are needed. Readings will be from the script. Visit www.villagerstheatre.com.

Art

The Arts Council of Princeton is accepting submissions for its 17th annual “Small Works” show on Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The juried exhibition is open to all artists, high school age and above, and encompasses painting, drawing, mixed media, printing, photography, clay, and sculpture. Works cannot exceed 15 inches in any dimension. Artists may submit up to three pieces at $10 entry fee per piece. All work must be for sale and ready to exhibit. Submissions

Arts Council of Princeton invites creative works of literature and art by students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Submissions may be in English or Spanish with a maximum of 700 words. Princeton Center for Yoga and Health offers a martial arts program “Inspire” for children with special needs. The program begins on Wednesday, March 2. Call 609-924-7294 for information.

Howell Living History Farm is accepting applications for parent/child enrollment in its spring hatchery program. The 12-week program begins March 18.
