Vic Belanger of West Windsor will share his excitement about the night skies in a five-week course at Washington Crossing State Park starting on Friday, September 9. Taking place at the Nature/Interpretive Center at 6:30 p.m., the following four Friday evenings begin at 7:30 p.m. Each session will run from one and a half to two and a half hours.
“Introduction to Amateur Astronomy,” structured for the interest of eighth grade students through adults, is limited to the first 25 registrants. The cost of $5 is applied toward materials.
Co-sponsored by the Amateur Astronomer Association of Princeton, “The course has been developed with those in mind who have ever gazed with wonder toward the mysterious beauty of the night sky and have pondered the prospects of become engaged in astronomy.” Belanger has more than 25 years experience in the aerospace industry and is a longtime amateur astronomer.
