Eco Del Sur, a band that has members from various countries in South America and performs music of the Andes and Latin America using traditional and contemporary musical instruments, is set to perform on Hinds Plaza on October 5 at 3 p.m.
The group’s music includes a wide range of styles and rhythms such as cumbias, joropos, guajiras, huaynos, valz, sanjuanitos and more.
The performance is part of a joint event with the Arts Council of Princeton and the Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund.
There will be food and activities celebrating Hispanic heritage at the Arts Council’s Paul Robeson Center from noon to 4 p.m. the same day.
Hinds Plaza is adjacent to the library, located at 65 Witherspoon Street. In the event of rain, the performance will be held in the library’s Community Room.
