D&R Greenway Land Trust is set to display the Garden State Watercolor Society’s juried exhibition, Seasonal Splendors.
The exhibition is scheduled to be displayed July 13 through Aug. 8 at the Marie L. Matthews Galleries in the Johnson Education Center, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton. An artist’s reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m. July 11.
Seasonal Splendors features 92 works by 50 signature members celebrating nature’s variety and magnificence in all seasons. Unique to this GSWS exhibition is a multiplicity of mediums beyond watercolor, including oils, pastel and acrylic. Art ranges from the realistic to the abstract, from soft to vivid, from noon to midnight.
Awards were chosen by juror and instructor Suzanne Baron. GSWS artists receiving special notice include Joanne Amantea, Edward Bauman, Fran Franklin, Jinnie May, Frank Perry, Dallas Piotrowski, Isabella Pizanno, Donna Read, Sheila Redford, Lois Sanders, Ann C. Taylor, Zina Uman and Peter Zdenek.
All exhibited art is for sale; a percentage of sales support the land trust’s preservation and stewardship mission.
The Marie L. Matthews Galleries is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
