Mildred R. German died November 1 at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington Township. Survivors include her daughter, Marion German of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Masonic Home of NJ, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington 08016.

Raghavaraju Birudaraju, 46, of Plainsboro, died November 3 at home. He was born in Warnagal, India Survivors include his wife Manga Kumar; son, Kartik (Kit) Birudaraju; and daughter, Pooja Birudaraju.

He received his MBA from Kansas State University in 1988. He was employed by Bloomberg Financial, Merrill Lynch Reuters, and Standard and Poor’s.

A Hindu funeral service took place at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.

Dr. Vickramasigam Arunasalam, 70, died November 9 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, he came to America in 1958 and received his PhD from MIT.

In 1964 he moved to Princeton Junction and worked as a principal research physicist at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab until his retirement in 1996. He was also a strong advocate of civil rights and his name was recently inscribed on the Wall of Tolerance in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Arunasalam was well published with 108 printed papers in various areas of physics. His last paper was completed the night before his death.

Survivors include his daughter, Sharmila Arunasalam of West Windsor; his sister, Thiraviyam Vickramavarathan of Toronto, Canada; his brothers Thiagarajah Vickramasingam of Vancouver, Canada; and Vijayakumar Vickramasingam of Switzerland.

Francis Weisel, 84, of Jacksonville, Florida, died November 8. Born in Plainsboro he was a longtime Jacksonville resident. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1947.

Survivors include his brothers, Alonzo H. Weisel of Pauling, New York, Harold Weisel of Pauling, Albert R. Weisel of East Windsor, Calvin G. Weisel of Lake Hurst, and Derrold J. Weisel of Arcadia, Florida; sister, Arlene Jennings of Trenton; longtime friend Clara Reed; and his dog, Teri.

Robert J. Wieck, 81, of Plainsboro died November 9 in the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in South Aqueduct, New York, he lived in Brooklyn from 1950 until 2002, and in Plainsboro since 2002. He had lived with his son and daughter-in-law in Plainsboro from that time. Bob enjoyed reading and gardening.

A member of the U.S. Army 83rd Infantry Division, he served in the European Theater during World War II; and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Henry J. and Nancy T. Wieck of Plainsboro; and three grandchildren, Robert W., Christopher G,. and Jonathan H. Wieck, all of Plainsboro.

Donald G. Maloney, 74, of Syracuse, New York, died November 8 at the Loretto Medical Center in Syracuse. Born in Trenton and a lifelong area resident, he retired in 1991 after 35 years with the NJ Department of Human Services as a case worker and regional supervisor.

A graduate of Notre Dame, he did graduate work at Trenton State College. As a U.S. Army veteran, he served as a military police officer during the Korean War.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene and his wife Teresa of Trenton, and Patrick of Trenton; two daughters, Heather and her husband Fred Smith of Syracuse, and Jennifer and her husband Salvatore Squillace, also of Syracuse; a brother, Joseph; two sisters, Eileen Patrick of Yardley, Pennsylvania, and Patricia Oliver of West Windsor; three grandchildren, Stacy, Thomas, and Courtney; one great-granddaughter, Lauren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 19, at 8 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Trenton.
