David Bachner, 18, of Plainsboro died August 11. A June graduate of High School North, he was a rising freshman with an athletic scholarship at Seton Hall University. Survivors include his parents, Rhonda and Steven, brother Rhett, sisters Kelly Giata and Tara Shea, and grandparents Joseph A. and Dolores R. DeVelis.##M:[more]##

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, August 14, at the Queenship of Mary Church, 19 Dey Road, Plainsboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, at the church. Juliette C. Skwara-Hutter, 45, of Willingboro died July 20. Survivors include a cousin, Thomas Spak of West Windsor.

Christopher David Silverthorne, 32, of Plainsboro died July 23. Survivors include his wife, Svenja Schulz; his mother, Virginia K. Silverthorne of Plainsboro; a sister, Kim Runko of Lambertville, and a brother, Mark Silverthorne of Cranbury. A remembrance of his life was held at Caddyshack at Hunter’s Glen on July 29. Margaret M. Vaughan, 78, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died July 25. Survivors include a sister, Veronica DeVaney of West Windsor; and a niece, Maureen Parah of West Windsor.

Leopardo J. Salvatore, 94, of Bristol died July 26 at Bristol Hospital. Survivors include a grandchild, Stacy Salvatore of Plainsboro.

Charles Howard Myers, 92, of Mt. Lebanon died July 28 in his home. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Thomas and Julia Myers of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Sunset Hills Presbyterian Church of Mt. Lebanon.

George J. Weckesser Sr. of Whiting died August 1 at home. Survivors include a daughter, Beth Lapow of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Kurt Michael Schenk, 50, of West Windsor died August 3 at his home. He coached for West Windsor Little League, was an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 66 of West Windsor, and a strong supporter of the Mercer Junior Rowing Club. A master carpenter, he was a member of Local 1006. Schenk served in the NJ Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife Dawn; his children, Kirsten and Michael, at home; his parents, Ewald K. Schenk and Kazmera Schenk; his sister, Kazmera Hopkins; his brother, Karl Schenk; and his in-laws, Joseph and Pearl Elias, and Sandra Elias and her husband Matt Bregoff, all of New Jersey.

Mortimer Goldman, 93, of Manchester, died August 4 at home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he is a past president of the NJ Professional Photography Association and his film, “Chick to Layer,” is a documentary history of the poultry era in Ocean and Monmouth counties. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Charles Hoyt of West Windsor. Richard G. Van Noy, 68, died August 4, at his home in the Poconos. A former administrator of West Windsor, he was a graduate of the Pennington School and Rider University. Survivors include his wife Debbie; a sister Patricia; and grandchildren Rick, Jennifer, Gretchen, and Krista. Reccie Smith, 88, died August 6 at the Pavilions at Forrestal in Plainsboro. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Joseph Henry; grandchildren Kevin Morris and Tracy Wesley; and great grandchild Jade Wesley.

Bruce E. Seip, 59, of Middlesex died August 6 at home. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Jason Wagner of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Middlesex County SPCA, F2 Brier Hill Court, East Brunswick 08816.

Louis C. Marchetta, 93, of North Brunswick died August 7 at home. Survivors include his daughter, Frances Jankoski of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Smile Train, 28th Floor, 41 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10010.

Jennifer Reed Bakker, 53, of Shiloh, died August 9. She graduated from Princeton High School, Class of 1973, and received her bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University in 1978 and her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 2001.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Abram Bakker Jr.; children, Hillary and Jeffrey Barile of Stow Creek Township, Blair Bakker of Bridgeton, and Lauren and Michael Carter of Norfolk, Virginia; mother Doris Reed, of Hopewell Township; siblings, Heather and Kevin Brakel, Gretchen Reed, all of West Windsor, Gaye and Thomas Martin of Rutland, Vermont, and Robert and Shannon Reed of Hopewell.

Robert A. Pearce, 85, of West Windsor died August 10 in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he lived in Princeton Junction most of his life.

A Navy veteran, Pearce graduated from Johns Hopkins University as a chemical engineer and retired from E.I. DuPont of Wilmington.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Joseph Discavage of Cranbury; and his grandson, Dan Discavage, also of Cranbury. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville 08648-2304.
