Thomas G. Austin, 81, of Galloway died January 20. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Ken Franco; and grandchildren, Kenny, Kristen, and Evan, all of West Windsor. Gail Franco is the West Windsor Township Welfare Director. Donations may be made to Spina Bifida Association, 84 Park Avenue, Flemington 08822.

John H. Reck Sr., 73, of King of Prussia, died January 20. Contributions may be made to Second Chance, c/o Dick Harbourt, 182 Conover Road, West Windsor 08550.

Laura Bobeck, 89, of West Windsor, died January 21, in the Greenwood House, Ewing Township. Born in Russia, she was a former resident of New York City; Sunrise, Florida; and Levittown, Pennsylvania.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Richela Bobeck, of West Windsor; a sister, Doree Brod; and four grandchildren, Joshua and David Bobeck and Becky and Jen Ellis.

Elizabeth Anne Carlsen, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, died January 19. Survivors include a daughter, Ingrid Diaz of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Standish Humane Society, Box 1467, Duxbury, Massachusetts, 02331.

Jacqueline R. Bur, 53, of West Windsor, died January 21 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Survivors include her husband, Robert H.; daughter, Susan Ann; son, Robert H. Jr.; and a brother, Joseph Healy.

Theresa Treiber, 68, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania died January 22 in the home of her daughter, Theresa Rawa of Boothwyn, Delaware County. She was born in Papa, Hungary. Survivors include a daughter, Caroline Ferguson of West Windsor. Contributions may be made to the John and Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Anne C. Metzheiser, 71, of West Windsor, died January 23 at her home. She moved to West Windsor 30 years ago.

A member of the Social Concerns Committee of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown, she supervised the church’s food pantry operation for many years. Also a member of the Princeton YWCA Newcomer’s Club and the Grad Group, she participated for several years with preparation of food for the youth of Anchor House in Trenton.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Gerald F. Metzheiser; four sons and daughters-in-law, Edward F. and Nicola Metzheiser of Wall Township, Paul T. and Sue Metzheiser of Palm Harbor, Florida, David J. and Beth Metzheiser of Cranbury, and Neil M. and Nicole Metzheiser of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Luke, Paige, Jack, Phillip, and Henry; her brother and his wife, Thomas F. and Margaret Cahill, of Summit; a sister-in-law and her husband, Rosemarie and William McDonagh, of Glen Ridge; five nephews; and one niece.

Ralph W. Leventhal, 70, of West Windsor died January 24 at home. Born in Passaic, he lived in Union for many years before moving to West Windsor four years ago.

A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor’s degree in business, he worked for Standard Chlorine Chemical Company, Kearny, and Samuel Klein and Company, Newark. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Marcia Claire Leventhal; two sons, Scott and his wife Diana of West Windsor, and Alan of Long Beach, California; two brothers, Howard Leventhal of Middlesex, and Jerome Leventhal of Glendale, California; and a granddaughter, Hannah Leventhal.

Contributions may be made to the Village Grande Chapter of Hadassah, West Windsor.

Sondra B. Mines, 62, of West Windsor died January 25 in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in the Bronx, she was a former resident of Los Angeles, California, before moving to West Windsor six years ago.

She earned a bachelor of science and master’s degrees from New York University. For 20 years she was a speech pathologist and audiologist for the Los Angeles Board of Education.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Bruce Lubitz of West Windsor; a nephew, Dr. Steven Lubitz and his wife Dr. Carrie Lubitz; and two nieces, Meredith Lubitz, and Cynthia Milburn and her husband Nathaniel. Contributions may be offered to the American Diabetes Association.

Elizabeth Lane O’Malley of Hightstown died January 23 at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown. She, and her late husband, New Jersey State Police Captain Joseph M. O’Malley, were instrumental in the establishment of Mercer ARC. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia O’Malley of West Windsor. Contributions may be made to Enable, 13 Roszel Road, Princeton 08540.

Anna Marie Merritt, 81, of Hamilton died January 27 at Hamilton Continuing Care, Hamilton. Survivors include Kimberley and Robert Kelly of West Windsor; and great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Madigan, and Daniel Kelly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, 154 South Mill Road, West Windsor. Contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck.

Joseph S. Lojko, 77, of Hopewell died January 30 at Capital Health System, Fuld Campus. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Fowler of West Windsor.

He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was the proprietor of Joe’s Green Acres in South Brunswick for many years. Donations may be made to NPR Foundation and President’s Council, National Public Radio, 635 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001-3753.

Charles D. “Chuck” Rehrig, 78, of Barrington, died on January 30. Survivors include a daughter Claudia Rehrig of Plainsboro

Julio Lopez Sr., 90, of Lambertville died January 29 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his son, Jose Lopez of Plainsboro.

Mary H. Shecora, of Ledgewood, died on January 31. Survivors include son Michael Shecora of Plainsboro. A memorial mass was held in Whippany on February 5. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Vernold Robert Miller, 24, of Plainsboro died February 2 in Washington Township. Born in Princeton, he was a graduate of Hightstown High School. He studied computer networking at Cittone Institute, Edison.

Survivors include his wife, Tika; daughters, Alirea and Sekpya; parents, Vernold and Mary Miller of Hightstown; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane and Harold Kirby of Philadelphia, and Daisey and Keila Campbell, both of Trenton; and brother, Andre Campbell of Trenton. The funeral was at Anderson Funeral Service, Trenton.

Dorothy Ellsworth Warren, 92, of Princeton, died February 5 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Survivors include her sister Gertrude Brooks of Plainsboro and nephew Shawn Ellsworth. A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at St. David the King Church, 1 New Village Road.
