Geraldine Liggins, 52, of East Chicago, Indiana, died May 9. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Dale and Harold Peace of Plainsboro.

Melvin Samuel Firth Jr., 73, of Blenheim, died May 12. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Doris Joyce Firth. He worked for the West Windsor Township Construction Office from 2004 to 2010. Donations may be made to the Historic and Scenic Preservation Committee of Gloucester Township, c/o Mayor’s Office, Gloucester Township, Box 8, Blackwood 08012.

Nelita L. Levy, 63, of Colonia died May 13. Born in Brazil, she was a former Plainsboro resident. Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Aurea and Jon Cardoso of Brazil, Ignez and Hamilton Marins of Brazil, and Luci and Edward Brewer of Colonia.

William H. “Bill” Karch, 83, of Princeton died May 15 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Survivors include a cousin, Norman Bergstrom of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Nassau Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.

Jeffrey D. Pryor, 50, of Hamilton Square died May 20. Born in Princeton, Prior, pictured above, was a longtime Plainsboro resident before moving to Hamilton Square five years ago. A fireman with Plainsboro Volunteer Fire Company for more than 34 years, he worked with Plainsboro’s Department of Public Works for more than 25 years.

His great grandfather, Jacob Hults, deceased, was a founding father of the Township of Plainsboro. Prior, a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local # 701, was a military police officer in the Army.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn L. (Sherman) Pryor; sisters, Lisa A. Pryor and Cynthia L. Kim; brother, Edward Pryor, Jr.; niece Lauren; and nephew Michael.

Funeral services were held May 25 at the Plainsboro Fire Company with interment in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle N.J. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Donations may be made to the Plainsboro Fire Company, 405 Plainsboro Road, Plainsboro 08536.

Eileen McTighe, 78, of West Windsor died May 15 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in Trenton, she moved to West Windsor in 2003. She was a longtime librarian at Trinity Cathedral Day School.

The youngest of 11 children, survivors include her sisters, Patricia McKinney, Sister Ellen Timothy Lydon (Cecilia), Rosemary Vocaturo, Elizabeth Collins; a brother, Leo Lydon; children, Douglas A. McTighe, Judith M. Donoher, and Arthur A. McTighe; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn A. McTighe, Andrew D. McTighe, Felicia Fell, Alexander McTighe, and G. Neal McTighe. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville 08648.

Billie Wheeler Farmer, 84, died May 15 in Mobile, Alabama. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Mark Huselid; and grandchildren Rachel and Robert Huselid, all of Princeton Junction.

Charles J. ‘Dewey’ Weingart Jr., 82, of Belle Mead died May 22 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Princeton, he founded Dewey’s Upholstery Shop in Princeton Junction in 1944 and was still active in the business at the time of his death.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Dale Weingart, and Scott and Sue Weingart, all of Belle Mead; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Mitch Mistyhn of Princeton; six grandchildren, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Christine, Christopher, Kevin, Cory, Jessica Weingart, and Krystina Mistyhn, and a great-granddaughter, Corinne Weingart. Donations may be made to Families of S.M.A., 925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
