Bhagwanti Garg, 89, of West Windsor died February 14. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Paras and Anila Garg and Krishan and Usha Garg of Edison; a daughter and son-in-law, Janak Gupta and Dev Raj of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of the India Funeral Service of Raritan.James Edward Sassman, 86, of Lawrenceville died February 15 at Tandem Health Care of Lawrenceville. Born in Princeton, he lived in Plainsboro for many years before moving to Lawrenceville 40 years ago.A decorated U.S. Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Hornet during World War II, he was a Purple Heart recipient and a member of American Legion Post 76 of Princeton. He retired in 1989 after 44 years as operations manager for Blakely Laundry in Trenton.Survivors include his wife, Alicia Sassman; a daughter, Robin Sassman; a brother and sister-in-law, George “Pete” and Lorraine Sassman of Plainsboro; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and great-great-nephews.Donations may be made to Church of St. Ann, Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville 08648.Jessie M. Anderson, 92, of Kingston died February 16 at the Merwick Unit at Princeton. Survivors include a nephews Robert N. Anderson and Lloyd L. Anderson of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Kingston United Methodist Church, 8 Church Street, Kingston 08528.Kathleen Eversden, 85, of Oregon, Ohio, died February 20, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Township. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Marion Meeks of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.Ruth (Stillwell) Sanders, 94, died February 22 at Granite Farms Estates in Media, Pennsylvania. A former West Windsor resident, she moved to Pennsylvania in 1961.She graduated from Princeton High School in 1929, and worked for New Jersey Power and Light until 1937. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Patricia A. and Kenneth A. Condon of Carlsbad, California; two grandsons, Timothy and Richard Condon; a great-granddaughter, Ruby Jane Condon; and many nieces and nephews.Graveside services were held at the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street, Trenton. Funeral and burial were in Guatamala.Harry Britton Morris Jr., 90, of Windsor died February 23 in the Mercerville Center-Genesis Elder Care in Hamilton Township due to complications from pneumonia.Survivors include his children, Jean and George Newman of West Windsor; his grandchildren, Timme Newman of West Windsor and his fiancee Christine Brogle of Fieldsboro; and great-grandchildren.Donations may be made to the Hightstown Elks Lodge No. 1955, (Attn: Handicapped Children’s Fund), 110 Hickory Corner Road, Hightstown 08520 or to the Windsor United Methodist Church, 51 Church Street, Box 405, Windsor 08561.Ethel Louise Lawrence, 60, of West Windsor died recently. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland. A graduate of Trenton State College with a degree in social work, she received her masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania. An expert in behavioral addictions, she maintained a private practice in Princeton.Survivors include sons, David Lawrence Saidman of Louisville, Colorado, and Michael Justin Saidman of Philadelphia; siblings, Carol L. Luber of Maryland, R. Bruce Lawrence of North Carolina, F. Alexandra Lawrence of West Windsor, and David Lawrence of Massachusetts; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Anthony Natale of West Windsor.A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, at 1 p.m. at Princeton Friends Meeting House, 470 Quaker Road, Princeton.
