Steven Mayer, 52, of Robbinsville died April 19 after being struck by a vehicle while running with his dog. Mayer had been the superintendent of the Robbinsville School District since 2009. He previously worked in the WW-P district, where he was the first principal of Grover Middle School, a position he held for eight years, and then assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction starting in 2007. He was also an active member of Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro. Survivors include his wife, Donna, and three children.

Frank Jefferson, 79, of Trenton died April 9 in Hopewell. Survivors include a daughter, Lori G. Ford of Plainsboro.

Verna Hutton, 91, of Princeton Junction died April 10. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Anthony Travaglione, Alyce and Dan Rossi, Joanne McDermott, and Elaine and Gordon Reibman; her grandchildren, Amanda Rogers, Cara O’Neill, David Travaglione, Elaine Griffin, Jim Rossi, and Kathryn Wetzel; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ernest Liles, 70, of Trenton died April 10 at home. He worked most recently as a bus aide in the WW-P School District.

Alexandra Tereby, 87, of Hillsborough died April 15 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Maureen Tereby of West Windsor.

Victoria Holden, 81, of Monroe died April 13 at home. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Donn Dwyer of West Windsor.

Jerome Pruden, 92, of Monroe died April 18 at home. Survivors in include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gerald Siegel of Plainsboro.

Joan Blanche Wyckoff, 85, of Ponte Vedra, Florida died April 3 at an assisted living facility there. Joan was born in Orange and was a long-time resident of West Windsor with her late husband, Harry. She worked as an office manager at Manpower Inc. in Princeton and as director of a local daycare center.

She is survived by two sons, Richard H. Ernst and wife, Mary Ann of Ponte Vedra, and Harry Ernst of Ewing; a daughter, Beth Allen, of Vineland; stepsons Geoff Wyckoff and wife, Donna, of Titusville, and Hank Wyckoff and wife, Karen, of Hawaii; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews. W. James “Jim” Aiken Jr., 95, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, died April 14. Survivors include a nephew, Gregory Risser Slonaker of West Windsor.

Carlo Bonefede, 82, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, died April 17. An Air Force veteran who served in Korea, he was a former Princeton Junction resident. Survivors include his three sons, Anthony, Michael, and Matthew.

Dr. Gerard A. Schaller, 71, of Princeton Junction died April 23 at home. Born in Trenton, he lived in Princeton Junction for more than 20 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, master’s degree from Ball State University, and doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.

He started his career as a teacher in Indiana and Ewing and eventually served as vice principal of Maurice Hawk and Dutch Neck elementary schools, principal of Wicoff School, and as administrative assistant to the superintendent. He also served as assistant superintendent in charge of curriculum, instruction, operations, and strategic planning. He retired as the chief school administrator in the Mountainside School District in 2004.

In retirement Schaller served at the NJ Principal Supervisors Association as the director of the NJ Leader to Leader Program and the coordinator of the NJ EXCEL Superintendent Certification Program. He also served as an adjunct professor at the College of St. Elizabeth.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Borden) Schaller and sons, David and his wife, Elina, and Jonathan; his brothers-in law and sisters-in-laws, Barbara Schaller, Dr. Alexander and Patricia Pagnani, Dr. Robert Borden and Karen Borden; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly and David Corso, Michael and Judy Schaller, Melissa and Linwood Miller, Dr. Alex and Luisa Pagnani, Dr. Chris Pagnani, Sean Pagnani and Brandon and Alayna Borden; several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins, including Maryann and Joseph Bielamowicz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. David the King, 1 New Village Road, West Windsor. Private cremation will follow.

Robert Siniscalchi, 84, of Helmetta died April 23 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick. Survivors include a daughter, Maria Amore of Plainsboro.

Joseph R. Clark, 25, of Fort Worth, Texas, died April 13. He was the son of Ralph and Patricia Clark of Plainsboro. Clark is also survived by his grandparents, Peter and Gale Cantu of Plainsboro, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Princeton Alliance Church, 20 Schalks Crossing Road, Plainsboro. Contributions may be made to Princeton Alliance Church.

Elinore Stout Gyopyos, 91, died March 13 at Glen Acres Assisted Living in Princeton. She was born in the Plainsboro home built by her father, William Stout. A 1941 graduate of Princeton High School, she was a nurse at Arlington Memorial Hospital and later at Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital, where she ultimately served as surgery supervisor from 1958 through 1983. She later became administrative surgery coordinator and in retirement worked part-time in outpatient surgery.

Her hobbies included travel and gardening, for which she won several prizes. She volunteered at the Descanso Gardens Public Park Gift Shop and sold embroidered items there.

In addition to her parents, William and Elsie Stout, she was predeceased by a brother, William Stout; and a sister, Catherine Martin. She is survived by sisters Janet Dey of Michigan and Della Nemes of Plainsboro; and a brother, George Stout of Florida. She was married and divorced from Nicholas Gyopyos.

A service will be held Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Plainsboro. Contributions may be made to the church at 500 Plainsboro Road, Plainsboro, or Habitat for Humanity, Box 6275, Bridgewater 08807.

John Bossler, 93, of Hamilton died April 25 at Pickering Manor in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Survivors include his granddaughter, Jenny Meade and her fiance, Louis Ortiz, of Plainsboro.
