Leonard Franklin Mixson Jr., 80, of Meggett, South Carolina, died September 20. A pilot and a flight instructor with the Air Force for 28 years, he was a Vietnam veteran. Barbara Ann Foster Moran, 77, of West Chester, died September 21. A former resident of West Windsor, she was a graduate of Immaculata College. Survivors include her six children and their partners, Carolyn and Joseph Zack, Robert E. Jr. and Michele, Christine and Anthony Sanguinetti, Patricia and Geoffrey Michael, Mary and David Manley, and Theresa and Matthew Matalavage; 18 grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, William C. and Kathleen Foster; and her sister Marie L. Beverly Mae Horowitz, 69, of Monroe died September 22 at Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center in Levittown, PA. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she moved to Plainsboro after she was married. As a school board member, PTA president, and town council member, she was integral in getting seat belts installed on district school buses. She was an office manager for multiple doctors and dentists in Plainsboro.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Howard Horowitz; children, Melissa Scheuren and husband, Herbert T. Scheuren III, and Jessica Horowitz; niece and goddaughter, Kimberly Wilson and husband, Dustin Wilson; great-niece and “granddaughter,” Madison Rose Wilson; nephew, Adam Morris and wife, Erica Morris; great-nieces, Megan Morris, Alexandria Morris, and Mia Ruiz. Donald Matthew Bubenheimer, 62, of Highland Park died September 22. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Daria Bubenheimer of Plainsboro.
Emily Elias, 74, of Somerset died September 23. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Elias of West Windsor.
Edgar R. Johnson, 89, of Plainsboro died September 22. Born in Brooklyn, he was raised in Staten Island and lived in East Brunswick and Florida before moving to Plainsboro in 2011.
Johnson served in the Navy during World War II. He was a linesman for the New York Telephone Company in Staten Island for more than 38 years, retiring in 1986.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Lynn; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Kelsey. Services will be private. Donations may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 1034 Salem Road, Union 07083.
Christi Mixson Migliaccio, 53, of Meggett, South Carolina, died September 26. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Farryl Mixson of West Windsor. Emma E. Griffith, 83, of Plainsboro died September 27 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in East Windsor, she was raised in Princeton Junction. She moved to Plainsboro after living in Virginia for a number of years.
Survivors include her children Garry and Jacqueline, Garnett and Michelle, Thomas Griffith, Barry and Debbie, Emma and Robert, Monroe and Angel, and Mark and Sherry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way.
Ruth Ellen Specht, 67, of Hockessin, Delaware, died September 27. Born in Neptune, she studied business and office management after graduating from high school. A former resident of west Windsor, she retired from her position as a legal secretary for a NJ law practice when her family relocated to Delaware in 1994. .
Survivors include her husband, E. Michael Specht; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Steve Dunkel of Hamilton and Rebecca and Hobart Trent of Newark, Delaware; her five grandchildren; and three brothers and sisters-in-law.

Ethel M. Stroin, 86 of Oakhurst died September 29. Survivors include a son, John Stroin of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Barnabas Hospice Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange 07052.
Christina Shiu, 32, of West Windsor died October 1 in New Brunswick after being struck by a car on Brunswick Avenue. She was taken by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where she was pronounced dead. Shiu was a graduate of the Lawrenceville School and NYU’s Stern School of Business. She was an investment banking analyst with Oppenheimer. A private service was held on October 6 in Hamilton.
