Richard ‘Dick’ Herbert Willever, 86, who served as superintendent of West Windsor-Plainsboro school district from 1975 to 1991, died October 19 at the Birches in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
Born in Phillipsburg, he served in the Army and graduated from Rider University with a degree in education and received a master’s degree in education from Rutgers University. His career as an educator included working as a teacher, guidance counselor, principal, assistant superintendent at Hopewell and Lawrence school districts. He. was a resident of Pennington.
The Millstone River and Community middle schools in Plainsboro are located on the Richard H. Willever Campus. After his retirement he served as interim superintendent in Princeton, Lawrence, and Washington townships. Willever received the Rider University Life Achievement Award in 1994.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Beverly Willever; his sister, Jacqueline Swick; his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Nancy Willever; his daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Roque Calvo; four grandchildren, Kate and Kevin Willever, R. John Calvo, and Amy Folk and her husband Drew; and two great-grandchildren, Nya and Landon Folk.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a memorial service at 1 p.m. followed by a reception, at the Pennington Presbyterian Church, 13 South Main Street, Pennington. Edgar R. Johnson, 89, of Plainsboro died September 22. Born in Brooklyn, he was a linesman for the New York Telephone Company for more than 38 years. A Navy veteran, he served during World War II. Emma E. Griffith, 83, of Plainsboro died September 27. William C. Miller, 82, of Lawrenceville died at the Atrium at Lawrence on October 7. Born in Elizabeth, he moved to West Windsor in 1971, where he raised his family on a farm. An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was the owner of Miller Garage Doors in Lawrenceville.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Margaret A. (Bordonaro) Miller; four children, W. Clifford Miller II, Patricia Elaine Miller, Matthew J. (Lois) Miller, and Nancy M. (Hans) Madsen; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Karl S. and Elaine Miller.

Robert J. Winter, 73, of Lawrenceville died October 8. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was a former longtime resident of West Windsor. A former professor, he was retired from Rider University.
Survivors include his wife, Madeline Winter; his daughter and son-in-law, Marissa and Nathan Sharpe; his son, Sam Winter; three grandchildren, Lucy, Beatrice, and Theodore Sharpe; his stepson, Jonathan Gursha; his sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Larry Schofer; his brother, Edward Winter; and his niece and nephew, Ethan and Sasha Schofer.

Karen Joan Brown, 62, of Levittown, PA, died October 9. Born in Trenton, she was a former resident of West Windsor and graduated from Princeton High School.

Walter H. Early, 90, of Ocean City died October 14. Born in Philadelphia, he was a former resident of Plainsboro. A Coast Guard veteran, he was a supervisor of real estate for Penn Railroad, retiring after 35 years.

John Marshall Skolka, 86, of Plainfield died October 15. A Marine veteran, he was a firefighter in Plainfield for 32 years. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, John and Kimberly Skolka of West Windsor.
Richard Greeley Coalter, 78, of West Windsor died October 15 at the University Medical Center at Plainsboro. Born in Murray, Kentucky, he was an Army veteran.
He studied electrical engineering and law at Southern Methodist University and Texas A&M, and earned his BSEE and JD from the University of Texas at Austin. He was an electrical engineer at University of Texas Defense Research Labs. After earning his PE, he practiced national and international patent law for RCA and Texas Instruments. He retired as a senior patent attorney for GE. .
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and David Leiggi of Allentown; his grandsons, Devin, Dylan, and Dayne Leiggi; his brother and sister-in-law, John Stanley and Patricia Coalter of Austin, Texas; his sister-in-law, Sharon Chancey of Virginia Beach, Virginia; cousins, nieces, and nephews.

John P. Bonnici, 84, of West Windsor died October 17. Born in Mount Vernon, New York, he was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Bonnici was active in the Village Grande community.
He was director of sales and vice president of the U.S. division of JEOL, where he was employed for more than 35 years. After receiving recognition for his expertise in the field of electron microscopes, he retired in 2010.
Survivors include his son James Bonnici; daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen Bonnici, Suzanne and John Campion, and Janet Baile; grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Anastasiou, Emily and AJ Baile, and Lilah, Emma, and Cate Celentano; great-grandchildren, Luke, Ella and John Anastasiou; his brothers, Salvatore and George Bonnici; and his sister, Madeline Bonnici.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. David the King RC Church in West Windsor. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
