James Clark Zizwarek, 65, of Plainsboro died October 12. Born in Neptune, he graduated from New Mexico State University. He served in the Air Force for seven years and recently retired from the U.S. Postal Service after serving there for more than 20 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Zizwarek; two brothers, Joseph Zizwarek and Dennis Zizwarek; two nieces, Gina Parise and Michelle Wells; and one nephew, Joseph Zizwarek. A mass will be held Saturday, November 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church in Eatontown.

Eva Suchmann, 89, of Hamilton died October 19 at Greenwood House. Born in Vienna, Austria, she escaped to England via the Kindertransport children’s rescue mission. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Novack, former West Windsor residents.

William R. Dix, 97, of Hamilton died October 22 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in the Dutch Neck section of West Windsor, he served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was an equipment operator for the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation for 39 years, retiring in 1978.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Antoinette (Russo Reed) Dix; his step-son, Charles J. Reed Jr. and his wife, Marilyn; his daughter-in law, Barbara Dix; his grandchildren, Robert Dix and his wife, Sandi, Charles A. Reed and his wife, Haydee, Richard J. Reed and Jennifer A. Reed.

Raymond W. Jones, 93, of West Windsor died October 23. Born in Orange, he was raised in Nutley. He served in the Air Force as a reconnaissance photographer and gunner during World War II.

After he graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in New York City, he worked for George Van Photos in Newark, serving several New Jersey and New York newspapers and later worked as a news photographer for the Newark Evening News. He later launched his own freelance service focusing on news, public relations, and aerial photography.

A lifetime member of the National Press Photographers’ Association, he served as their Mid-Atlantic States Regional Director, as well as president of the New Jersey Press Photographers’ Association. He won numerous awards for his photography from these organizations, as well as the New Jersey Publishers’ Association.

Survivors include his wife, Joan (LeVan) Jones; his three daughters, Karin Colantuono, Kyle Harris, and Kristina Randolph; sons-in-law, Terry Harris and Stephan Randolph; and his five grandchildren, Nicholas and Kathryn Colantuono, Grace and Benjamin Harris, and Sophia Randolph.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, November 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. Donations may be made to Special Olympics New Jersey, 1 Eunice Kennedy Shriver Way, Lawrenceville 08648-2301.

William J. Bowling, 76, of Springfield died October 25. Born in Teaneck, he was a longtime resident of East Windsor. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. David the King RC Church, West Windsor. Donations may be made to St. David the King RC Church, 1 New Village Road, West Windsor 08550.

James A. Hatch, 88, of Stephentown, NY, died October 25. Survivors include his daughter, Jacqueline Agogliati of West Windsor.

John M. Alden, 89, died October 27. A Navy veteran during World War II and the Korean War, he served in the Naval Reserve as a Lt. Commander for 21 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Alden; and two grandsons, Bradley A. States of Del Rio, Texas, and Daniel D. States of Ithaca, New York, all former longtime residents of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to St. Margaret’s Church, Box 395, Staatsburg, NY 12580; or the Adult Day Services Program at The Brookmeade Community Foundation, 46 Brookmeade Drive, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.

Hedwig Iwachiw, 86, of Hillsborough died October 31. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Rick Zoog of Plainsboro. Donations may be to the National Parkinson Foundation at www.­parkinson.org

Joseph F. Keris Sr., 81, of West Windsor died October 31. Born in West Windsor, he was a lifelong area resident and a farmer his entire life.

Survivors include his son, Joseph F. Keris Jr.; his grandchildren, Joseph F. Keris III and Kristin Laura Keris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Stephen David Hersh, 71, of Chambersburg, died November 2. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Maureen Hersh of West Windsor.
