Thank you, Robbinsville.
Thank you for being so open-minded and passing the Election Day Open Space Referendum. Thank you for taking the time to ask all the right questions via email, Facebook and with your phone calls. Thank you for both your supporting, and opposing, viewpoints to the new 1.5 cent tax, which will be used to purchase and preserve over 400 acres of land that could have been used for more residential development.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Thank you for taking our unofficial surveymonkey.com poll, which provided us with a terrific gauge as to your thoughts on the proposed tax. Thank you for not falling for the unethical, inflammatory and diversionary tactics used by the group that opposed this measure.
Thank you to the Robbinsville School District.
Above all, thank you for believing in me and my staff.
In addition to Edinburg Village, we also have the 189 acres that comprise the former Miry Run Golf Course on our wish list to preserve. Currently, that parcel is not zoned for residential, but that could change in the future. We want to make sure that does not happen.
The reasoning here is simple. Our three schools are at or near capacity, and another large influx of students into our school system and more vehicles on our roads will send us down an unsustainable path. I have said for months, and maintain, that our open space strategy will ultimately save our taxpayers money down the road by decreasing the number of students expected to attend our schools over the next 5 to 10 years. Mercer County felt so strongly about preserving Edinburg Village that it pledged $2 million to help with that purchase in the form of grants through the county’s Municipal and Non-Profit Grant Program.
This was a good win for Robbinsville.
Once again, thank you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

Great job by everyone involved, including Tom Troy and his entire Sharbell Development team, in securing another Fortune 500 company for Robbinsville.
Starbucks will be built across from the new Municipal Building on Route 33 and is a tremendous addition to our business community.

Please help another family with very strong local ties in need. The parents and six young children last month lost everything they had in a fire, but all thankfully escaped with their lives.
The family’s most pressing needs include: winter coats for the children and clothing. In addition, gift cards would be helpful until they are settled in a new home. Tupperware containers to place these items would also be helpful.
The Robbinsville Fire Department has graciously allowed the Fire House to be used as a drop off station for all donations 24 hours a day. That address is: Robbinsville Fire Department, 1149 US-130, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
Thank you to Lifetree Church and, as always, to the Robbinsville community for its kindness and generosity.
