The gallery at the Plainsboro Public Library hosts an exhibit featuring the works of 24 members of the Cranbury Digital Camera Club. The photographs depict various themes and subject matters, including nature and wildlife, landscape and cityscape, architectural elements, and more. A reception will be held on Sunday, January 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through January 28.
Two of the exhibitors will speak informally about their work at 3 p.m. Robert Zurfluh talks about “Sunrise Zen” and Fred Apelian talks about “Watkins Glen.” They will touch on their photos’ setting, time and lighting conditions, camera settings, and explain what they were trying to capture in the lens and communicate to the viewer. Several other photographers will be on hand to answer questions about their work as well.
The club, a non-profit organization for close to nine years, has more than 100 members. With a concentration on digital photographic techniques and methods, the organization’s goal is to provide a positive environment where amateurs and professionals can learn from each other to further develop their skills as photographers. Meetings take place on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Guest photographers present their specialties, and friendly member competitions are held. Visit cranburydigitalcameraclub.org for information.
