According to Princeton Police, Faculty Road is set to be closed from Alexander Street to Elm Drive July 11 to 16.
The road is scheduled to be closed for the construction of grade crossing improvements by NJ Transit and related road and sidewalk improvements. There will be no vehicular, bike or pedestrian access through the construction area for the duration of the closure.
It is anticipated that Faculty Road will reopen July 16 after the evening rush hour.
Two-way traffic will be maintained on Alexander Street during the Faculty Road closure except for overnight on July 13, 14 and July 15 when there will be milling and paving work at the intersection of Faculty Road and Alexander Street; hours for overnight work are 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. During these evenings, police will be on-site and traffic will be alternated through the Faculty Road and Alexander Street intersection.
On the weekend of July 12 to 13, buses are set to replace the rail shuttle service between Princeton and Princeton Junction. Additionally, buses will replace the rail shuttle service between the station from 9:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. on July 14 and July 15
During these times, NJ Transit buses will provide alternative service for customers. Buses will depart from the bus stop near the rail platform on the westbound side of the station at Princeton Junction and at the bus stop on Alexander Street adjacent to the parking lot and temporary rail station in Princeton.
