Diana Tsaliovish on violin and Andrew Sun on piano reunite for the third time to present a concert of classical and klezmer music on Sunday, August 14, at 5 p.m. in East Windsor. Tsaliovish is the daughter of Anatoly and Nelly Tsaliovish, who live in Village Grande, West Windsor. Sun, who was raised in West Windsor, graduated from High School North in 2009.

The Rimon Avodat HaLev service award will be presented at the concert to Rebekah Marks Costin and Dr. Andrew Costin of Princeton for their commitment to the creation and implementation of the Rimon Teen Learning Initiative, a weekly study of Jewish text and great ideas for high school students led by Princeton University undergraduates, and for their help in spearheading an outdoor community service project for high school students, the Traveling on the Path (T.O.P) program.

Tsaliovish, a native of Russia, received her bachelor of music degree from Mannes College and her master of music degree from Yale University. As a chamber musician and soloist she has performed with the Emerson String Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet, and Yale Composers Quartet. She has served as concertmaster of the Spoleto Festival Orchestra.

After receiving a Fulbright grant to study at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, she remained in Finland for 10 years to play with the Finnish National Opera Orchestra. She has been a member of the Jerusalem Symphony since 2008. This summer she taught at the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina.

There are plans for Tsaliovich to be married to David Lupo, also of Jerusalem, on Thursday, August 11, at the Rimon Center for Jewish Learning.

Sun attends New York University where he studies piano with Eduardus Halim. An active performer within NYU’s piano department, he continues to be featured in many solo and chamber music recitals including the “Chopin 200” at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in 2010. As the winner of this year’s concerto competition, he will perform Dvorak’s G minor Piano Concerto with the NYU Symphony in December.

Sun has also appeared with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra and the local Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2008 he was a student at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. With a deep interest in the music industry overall, Andrew has been an intern this summer at the Universal Music Publishing Group’s New York office.

“I first performed with Diana at the Rimon Center in 2009, and it has been a pleasure to return every year to such a warm audience,” says Sun.

Summer Musical Interlude, Rimon Center for Jewish Learning, 483 Dutch Neck Road, East Windsor. Sunday, August 14, 5 p.m. Register. $18 to $20. 609-918-9750. www.rimoncenter.org.
