Flannery O. Miller, a student at Mercer County Community College majoring in visual arts and web design, displays “Beginning a Lifetime,” a prisma color pencil drawing. “I’m inspired by the many forms, events, and stories in nature,” she says. “‘Beginning a Lifetime’ is the celebration of conception.” (www.fulang.org)
Glenn A. Miller, a retired advertising executive and TV commercial writer has two works in pen, ink, and marker on display. “Perfect Day for Flying” was one of four selected for reproduction on the postcard invitation for the exhibit. Also on view is “Sunbather.” “I like to think my drawings celebrate the ordinary things in life by giving them a new vitality and visual interest,” says Miller.
Allison Singer, an art teacher, gallery manager, and owner of an art business designed for the young student, specializes in portrait painting. Her watercolor “Strawhats” is part of the exhibit. “A trip to Disney World was his celebration for getting good grades this year. If his parents want to put a goofy hat on him, he does not mind,” she says. “Painting children’s portraits is one of my favorite activities.” (www.allisonsingerartgallery.com)
Amy Frankel, visual arts coordinator and trustee of the West Windsor Arts Council has “Inside Garden,” an acrylic painting, on display. “Being able to exhibit art work and share a creation is always a thrill,” she says. “Finishing a piece that you put your time and energy into always makes me want to appreciate having an opportunity to exhibit.”
