Sue Ruedemann, who began her 35-year career as a school bus driver with the WW-P schools, recently retired to Ocala, Florida. ##M:[more]##According to a story in a Florida newspaper, she chose driving because it allowed her the same hours and days off as her four children and she didn’t have to pay for childcare. As a single parent she supplemented her income as a forklift operator and drove sports buses on weekends for private schools. She also become an EMT and volunteered to drive an ambulance for 10 years.
Now living in a senior citizen community, she runs the bingo machine, plays cards, bikes, walks, and is a Red Hatter. “I had to retire because my job was interfering with my social life,” she said.
