Matthew Lichtenstein was awarded a scholarship from Congregation Beth Chaim Men’s Club. A June graduate of High School South, he will attend Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall with a plan to major in computer science or computational media. He was also a National Merit finalist this year.
His Jewish community service included volunteering as a junior counselor at Beth Chaim for two years, volunteering as a buyer and stocker at the JFCS kosher food pantry, and he has been a member of the philanthropic Jewish Community Youth Foundation for the past five years. “I am looking forward to the next phase in my life and would like to pursue needed community service in Atlanta while at Georgia Tech,” he says.
