Local favorite Stewart’s Root Beer of Hamilton, located on Route 33, has officially reopened under new ownership.
The restaurant, a nostalgic staple for many in the community, celebrated its return with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 7.
The announcement, made via the restaurant’s social media channels, signals the revival of the beloved eatery, which had previously generated excitement among residents when its reopening was first announced in February.
Hamilton Township officials are expected to join the new owners, staff, and community members for the official reopening event.
Following the ribbon cutting, patrons are invited to stay and enjoy the classic Stewart’s fare, including their signature hot dogs, fries, and root beer served in frosty mugs.
The reopening marks a welcome addition to the local dining scene. While the area once boasted two other Stewart’s Root Beer locations, one on Route 130 in East Windsor and another on Brunswick Pike in Lawrence (which most recently housed Meatheadz Cheesesteaks), the Hamilton location’s return offers a renewed opportunity for the community to enjoy the familiar flavors.
Stewart’s Root Beer of Hamilton is now operating year-round, with hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to visit and experience the newly reopened establishment.
