Raza’s of Hamilton, a new upscale restaurant, held an official grand opening celebration on May 1.
Hamilton Mayor Jeff Martin and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy joined the Raza family and staff on Thursday, May 1, to cut the ribbon.
Raza’s of Hamilton, located at 557 U.S. Route 130 in Hamilton, is billed as an American restaurant with a European flair. It looks to offer a “welcoming, rustic, and industrial space perfect for a night out or a private event.”
The restaurant is located in the former site of Hamilton Tap and Grill.
Syed Raza is the managing director. His résumé includes leadership roles at venues such as The Estate at Farrington Lake, The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor and Buttonwood Manor. Joining Syed is his son, co-owner and general manager Elias Raza.
“We are thrilled to welcome Raza’s of Hamilton to our community,” said Mayor Martin. “Small businesses are the heartbeat of our town, and it’s exciting to see a new establishment bringing people together through food, passion, and hospitality.”
The Raza’s menu features entrees such as aged duck breast ($38), saffron risotto ($27), milk-fed veal chop ($68), 20-ounce prime Kansas City ribeye ($78) and scallops and prawns ($47).
Appetizers include selections such as charred octopus ($24), short rib flatbread ($18) and escargot toast ($19). Signature cocktails include a spicy margarita ($16) and an old-fashioned ($18).
Raza’s of Hamilton is open Tuesdays from 4 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 9 p.m., Fridays from noon to midnight, Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. For reservations, hours and menus, visit razasnj.com.
