Carlos is back at Cox’s

Carlos Espichan, who for 25 years worked at the old Cox’s Store at 180 Nassau Street and later at the Calico Grill around the back of the building, has returned to that space after the recent closing of Dolceria Gelato.

Espichan is the lead cook at the newly opened Eatery@Princeton, owned by Nadir Gillani and providing a range of eat-in and take-out items as the old Cox’s. Like its predecessor it also offers an extensive catering menu.

Ramen reversals

Edo Ramen, which opened in late 2016 on Witherspoon Street, recently closed its doors, but a new spot has filled the town’s ramen void. Lan Ramen opened in late January in the long vacant basement space at 4 Hulfish Street. The space was last home to Infini-T, a tea shop and vegan restaurant, but the space was severely damaged by flooding in July, 2016, and Infini-T was never able to reopen. Lan Ramen’s menu is half ramen, and half traditional Chinese.
