The 16th annual Lawrence Township Economic Development Awards Program will take place on Wednesday, October 8 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The ceremony will be at BRIO Tuscan Grille located at Quaker Bridge Mall, 3320 Brunswick Pike #1052 in Lawrence.
The keynote speaker is Gerald J. Fennelly, president of NAI Fennelly.
The Mayor’s Award for Economic or Community Development, given to a business, civic group, public official or program that deserves special recognition for its efforts on behalf of the community, is going to the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.
The New Large Business award, recognizing a successful new business (start-up or relocation) recently established in Lawrence Township, is going to MDAdvantage Insurance Company of New Jersey.
The New Small Business award, given to a small employer, family or individual business that makes a special contribution to Lawrence Township and recognizing the entrepreneurs that occupy the smaller spaces among the township’s office and retail properties, is going to the Route 1 Diner.
The Business Service Award, presented to a business that has made a significant contribution to the township’s business or civic community, is going to Colonial Valley Chiropractic.
The New Building/Renovation Award, recognizing a significant new building or renovation project that enhances its surrounding neighborhood, is going to Bellacina Kitchen & Bath.
The Podmore/Dwyer Historic Award, celebrating a business, individual or community organization in Lawrence that promotes preservation of Lawrence Township history and/or has provided an effective education avenue toward advancing knowledge of the township’s history, is going to Kathlinda Saretsky.
The Ralph Copleman Environmental Award, recognizing a business, organization, community group or individual for environmental sustainability, is going to Friends of the Lawrence Nature Center.
