Several musicians from Princeton and Lawrenceville were selected to participate in the CoOPERAtive Program at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.
The opera training program, which begins in July, aims to prepare students for acceptance into advanced young artist or summer apprentice program.
A total of 6 pianists were selected from hundreds from around the world who auditioned to be a CoOPERAtive Pianist Intern.
Pianists include James Mitchell and Pauline Worusski of Princeton.
Audra Casebier, Lucas Levy and Rexford Tester of Lawrenceville are three of the 32 singers who were chosen to be CoOPERAtive Fellows.
Additionally, Anne Marie Stanley of Princeton is one of 25 singers selected from hundreds to be a CoOPERAtive Young Artist.
The three-week intensive program includes private coaching from opera professionals focusing on operatic style, performance techniques, dramatic presentation, language and diction, body awareness, and resume and application advice. In addition to operatic repertoire, German lieder, French mélodie and American song are studied and performed in weekly concerts.
