Terhune Orchards is set to welcome autumn with two days of fun for the whole family at the Apple Festival.

The 38th annual festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 and 14. Fall festival weekends continue for seven more weekends until early November.

Visitors can pick fresh apples from the farm’s dwarf trees, take a tractor-drawn wagon ride, enjoy live music Saturday and Sunday from the Daisy Jug Band, visit the adventure barn, walk the farm trail and taste farm fresh snacks and homemade lunch.

Activities for kids include face painting, pumpkin painting, pony rides and a popular cornstalk maze. This year’s theme for the adventure barn is the Four Seasons at Terhune Orchards.

Pam’s food tent will be roasting a pig for pork sandwiches. The menu also features barbecued chicken, hot dogs, coleslaw, homemade salads and soup.

The food tent also includes apple dishes like apple pies, apple muffins, apple bread, cider doughnuts and applesauce and apple cider.

Adults 21 and over can stop in at the vineyard and winery tasting room in Terhune’s 150-year-old barn and sample our award-winning wines, including apple wine.
