The meeting set for Take Your Child to Work Day, focuses on ways to effectively engage children, tweens and teens in volunteerism and philanthropy.
John Witherspoon Middle School seventh grader Elian Rubin is set to speak about his experiences in fundraising.
Rubin is an active volunteer with SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals, Princeton Boy Scout Troop 43 and his school’s Do Something Club. In addition to volunteering, Elian has raised over $30,000 to support local scouting over the past four years.
Presenters are set to share best practices, strategies and successes in developing the next generation of philanthropic leaders.
Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Mercer director and Women in Development board member Julie Davidson Meyers is set to facilitate the meeting.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their children to the event.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 to 10 April 24 at Fedora Cafe at 2633 Main St., Lawrence.

Women in Development of Mercer County is a local, nonprofit professional association of women in the field of development and fundraising.
