Lawrenceville Main Street is set to sponsor the 16th annual Jubilee.
The Jubilee is scheduled for 12 to 5 p.m. May 4 in Weeden Park and the parking lots between Craven Lane and Phillips Avenue which intersect Route 206. This is a rain or shine event.
The event is an old-fashioned street fair featuring live music and entertainment, food, rides, shopping and non-profit vendors, games, and activities.
Children’s activities include the Giant Slide and Castle Bounce, rock climbing wall by ESF Summer Camps, golf simulator by TGA of Mercer, and face painting sponsored by Investors Bank. In addition, kids can ride on a pony and play games.
Local restaurants are set to offer a variety of delicious foods including barbecued chicken and ribs, pasta, soft pretzels, cheese steaks, shish-kabobs, and other selections.
Performances include local band The Tone Rangers, Indian dancing by Shishya School of Performing Arts and a zumba demonstration from Empower Fitness.
The Jubilee also features the annual pie-eating contest sponsored by Melz Salon. Prizes include gift cards for local restaurants and Empower Fitness and gift baskets from Dance Network and Melz Hair Salon.
