Terhune Orchards is set to offer samplings of its wines at Vintage North Jersey’s first Wine and Food Festival.
Vintage North Jersey, a collaboration of northern New Jersey wineries, is set to host the festival 12 to 5 p.m. August 16 and 17 at Four Sisters Winery in Belvidere.
The festival features local foods, live music, craft exhibits, and New Jersey wines from Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon and Mercer counties. Wines will be paired with local specialty food selections. Farm fresh fruits and vegetables will be available for purchase.
Along with its award-winning wines, Terhune Orchards is set to offer samples of its salsas and offer freshly baked fruit pies at the festival.
Four Sisters Winery plans to prepare homemade bread and dipping oils for sampling. Old York Cellars is set to offer samples of hones that comes from hives at their winery. Hopewell Valley Vineyards sampling is set to feature “bread and spread,” which is two different kinds of humus and tzatziki Greek spreads.
Participating wineries also include Beneduce, Brook Hollow Winery, Cava Winery, Unionville Wineyards, Ventimiglia Vineyards and Willa Milagro Vineyards.
The Wilson Brothers are scheduled to perform classic rock Aug. 16; another classic rock cover band, Brother John Brown Band, is set to perform Aug. 17.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Admission for non-drinkers and ages 13 to 20 is $15 at the gate; children age 12 and under are free.
