Captain Paul’s Firehouse Dogs owners Janice and Paul Tweedly hold their New Jersey Monthly Magazine annual Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll Critic’s Choice award outside their restaurant.
New Jersey Monthly Magazine selected Captain Paul’s Firehouse Dogs for the Critics’ Choice in its Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll.
This is the second consecutive year the hot dog and ice cream restaurant in Lawrenceville won the Critic’s Choice for best hot dog.
“We are thrilled to receive this award for the second year in a row,” Paul Tweedly, who owns and operates Captain Paul’s with his wife, Janice, said in a statement. “Our top priorities are to honor and recognize the men and women who serve our country everyday and to provide a safe place for families and children to spend time.”
Paul and Jancie tweed have operated Captain Paul’s for the past five year. Paul Tweedly served as a captain for the Trenton Fire Department for more 26 years.
Throughout the years, Captain Paul’s has teamed up with various organizations, ranging from an annual Toys-for-Tots holiday toy drive to donating to the surrounding area fire companies and schools.
For the past 30 years, New Jersey Monthly Magazine has been conducting their Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll, which includes the best of North Jersey, Central Jersey, South Jersey, and Critics’ Choice categories
