The Lawrence Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that registration for their 2015 fall clinics is open. Programs are available for boys and girls Pre-K through 8th grade from Lawrence Township and surrounding communities that do not currently offer a lacrosse program. The fall clinics are a great opportunity for new players to try lacrosse and for experienced players to improve their skills.
Programs include:
Boys Clinic for 1st through 8th Graders
Players will be grouped by grade level and will participate in one session per week on Saturdays. The program will run from September 12 through November 7. U.S. Lacrosse membership is required for this program for insurance purposes. Players must provide their own boy’s lacrosse equipment, although the club does have a few sets of equipment to lend on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee is $45.
Girls Clinic for 1st through 8th Graders
Players will participate in one session per week on Wednesday evenings. The program will run from September 16 through November 4. U.S. Lacrosse membership is required for this program for insurance purposes. Players must provide their own girl’s lacrosse equipment. Registration fee is $45.
Little Laxers for Boys and Girls in Pre-K through 1st Grade
Little Laxers offers an introduction to the sport in a relaxed and fun environment. Participants will be taught the basics of lacrosse through fun games led by experienced coaches. This program will be held on Saturday afternoons from September 12 through November 7. The club will provide all necessary equipment. First graders may choose to participate in Little Laxers or the Clinics. Registration fee is $35 for Little Laxers. Space is limited.
The Lawrence Lacrosse Club is also in need of volunteers. No lacrosse experience necessary. The club is seeking coaches, team parents and administrative help to support recently expanded program offerings.
