As part of the First Presbyterian Church of Titusville’s 175th anniversary celebration, the parish is set to host the first-ever Titusville Heritage Festival on June 1.
The inaugural festival is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 48 River Drive, Titusville.
More than 25 local farms, artisans and organizations are scheduled to staff booths.
Titusville Heritage Festival features displays by local farms and suppliers, such as WildeWood Alpaca Farms, Gravity Hill Organic Farm, Shelterwood Farm, Shibumi Mushroom Farm, Fulper Dairy Farm, Cedar Hill Nursery, the Howell Living History Farm, Egomatic and Rosedale Mills.
The Hot Taters, a Dixieland jazz band, is scheduled to perform.
Food vendors include Bitter Bob’s Barbecue and It’s Nutts.
Titusville residents Cheryl Jackson, Ruth Sullivan and Bill Taylor are set to display their art.
Local organizations such as 4-H of Mercer County, Titusville Fourth of July Committee, Boy Scouts Troop 1776, Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad, Pet Rescue of Mercer, Capital Health, Central Jersey Choral Society, Titusville United Methodist Church and Rolling Harvest Food Rescue are set to be at the festival.
In addition, the festival features crafts, old fashioned games and balloon animals in the KidZone.
The church is set to offer crafts made by Bahama-based Karazim Ministries, which supports the underprivledged of Grand Bahama Island and FEBA. They will also have crafts by Woman, Cradle of Abundance, a Congo-based ministry that provides educational opportunities for women and street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In lieu of an admission price, the church will collect voluntary contributions of non-perishable canned goods for the monthly food pantry sponsored by West Trenton Community Center. The center provides services for residents of Trenton’s Stuyvesant Avenue neighborhood.
The festival’s main parking lot is at the Titusville Academy, located at 86 River Drive, with overflow parking at the Titusville United Methodist Church, 7 Church Road.
A complimentary shuttle is set to run from both lots to the church throughout the day.
