Poet Daniel Harris is set to read from his most recent collection for poetry at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System
The reading is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 30.
Harris, professor emeritus in English and Jewish studies at Rutgers University, plans to read from Random Unisons and also Loose Parlance, which was published in 2008.
During his long academic career, Harris wrote books of literary criticism on William Butler Yeats, Gerard Manley Hopkins and Alfred Tennyson.
His poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart award and published in The Threepenny Review, Blueline and The Silt Reader, to name a few.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
