Off Broadstreet to present Rumpelstiltskin

Off Broadstreet Theatre is set to present Rumpelstiltskin.

This fairy tale is the story of Rumpelstiltskin, who helps a fair maiden in distress spin straw into gold but in return promises him her first born child. Can the audience help the young lady guess this man’s unusual name so she is relieved of her debt?

Artistic Director Robert Thick has led Off-Broadstreet’s children’s series for 29 years. Thick’s team of professional actors present the story giving audience members cue phrases to listen for and encouraging the children to make appropriate responses.

Performances are set for 10 a.m. on August 9 and 10:30 a.m. on August 10 at Off-Broadstreet Theatre, 5 South Greenwood Ave., Hopewell.

Tickets are $4.
