Two families from the Hopewell Valley, educators Jamie and Peter Swanson from Titusville and marketers Lainie and Chris Sullivan of Hopewell, have formed a new education company named Fyre Code that offers code and app development education for young students. The new company will offer the after school program at Titusville’s Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad training room starting this January.
The families envision a learning environment where their children, friends and students from around the area can become proficient in multiple platforms to enhance code writing ability and program design. By furthering their understanding, students will be better prepared for 21st Century skills and next generation standards.
Fyre Code will be offered to 4th through 6th grade students one evening per week starting in late January. The company plans to expand its schedule to accomodate multiple levels and times starting in fall 2016.
