Several Mercer County high school students are set to compete in the 21st annual New Jersey Envirothon.
The Pennington School, Stuart Country Day School and Princeton High School students are set to participate in Envirothon, a natural resources problem-solving competition, at Montclair State University’s School of Conservation in Sandyston May 3.
The Envirothon tests the students’ knowledge of natural resources-related topics, including soils, forestry, aquatics, wildlife ecology and a current environmental issue.
This year’s theme is “Sustainable Local Agriculture/Locally Grown.”
One-hundred eighty-five students from 37 high schools representing 17 counties are set to participate.
Students on the winning team will receive college scholarships and other awards.
