The Lawrence Hopewell Trail is set to host a Trail and Treat Halloween Ride on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Village Park in Lawrence.
The Lawrence Hopewell Trail will bring new meaning to Halloween for local families on Sunday, October 25, 2015 when the Trail and Treat Ride takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Village Park in Lawrence. Geared for families with children aged 3 to 12, the fall celebration will include separate activities on and off the LHT for ages 3 to 6 and for 6 to 12 including bike rides, music and fun activities. The event includes two rides, one geared toward younger riders and another for the more experienced riders.
Activities including bike decorating, face painting and games, beginning at 4 p.m. The School of Rock will provide live music. Goodies and additional treats will be provided and the first 200 children will receive trick or treat bags.
Participants should gather at Village Park at the intersection of Bergen Street entrance/parking lot. The event is free, although donations are welcome to help defray costs. Parents with bicycle trailers are welcome and parent supervision is required.
All children riding bicycles will be required to wear helmets as required by state law. Online pre-registration is strongly recommended by visiting the LHT’s website, lhtrail.org.
