DIVISION THREE BOYS

In last Saturday’s game against Ewing 1, Stellitano raced out to a 5-1 halftime lead, and tacked on three more goals in the second half, winning the game 8-4. Goals were scored by Larry Kennedy (3), Richie Keifer (2), Mike Kennedy, Finn Murray-Campbell and Andrew Sagostky. Corban Ballek and Eddie Keifer adding strong support upfront, while Simeon DaPonte, Oliver Licciardi and Teddy Franzino provided solid play on the defensive line.

This week’s Sunday’s game saw Stellitano go down by one goal in the first half against Ewing 3, but stormed back with seven unanswered goals to close out the game 7-1. Scoring goals were Finn Murray-Campbell and Larry Kennedy with two apiece, and Richie Keifer adding a hat trick, including a goal from the corner kick position. Vitor Fontes Nichi, Corban Ballek and Andrew Sagotsky provided strong midfield presence, while the defensive line was held again Oliver Licciardi and Teddy Franzino. Bryce Meccage played another solid game in goal.

On Saturday, Jack’s Nursery beat Ewing 1 5-0 at Tank Field in Ewing. Jack’s Nursery posted it’s sixth win of the season. The team had numerous attempts on goal with scoring shots by Daniel English and Mason Scall in the first half leaving the score at 2-0. In the second half, Jack’s continued to display an aggressive attack by Derek Van Brunt, Dominic Chilla and Hansol Kim. On Sunday, Jack’s was scheduled to play Millstone. However, the team failed to show up and forfeited the game, allowing Jack’s to gain their seventh win of the season. Rather than go home, the team played an adults vs. children scrimmage game.

On Saturday, The Sourland Cycles stepped up their game to win 3-0. Finn Malloy, Daniel Teodorescu and Austin Gold defended the goal aggressively. Hunter Boggess kept a firm grip on his position as goal keeper. Colin Hunter, along with Cutter Swanson and Kishore Chidambaram, were tight in offense to allow Cutter to get the first goal. The second goal came from Joshua Varughese. Holden Thompson and Sathya Kummarapurugu kept the midfield positions allowing the ball to remain in their possession. Toward the end of the game, Joshua Varughese scored bringing the score to 3-1. On Sunday, the Sourland Cycles only let only one goal in for Robbinsville, making the final score 1-0.

On Saturday, the Carnegie Cat Clinic soccer team defeated the Robbinsville 3 Soccer team 7-1 in Robbinsville Community Park. Dan Polverejan scored twice. Cameron Phillips scored three times, once with the assist of Dan Polverejan. JC Perez scored twice, once with the assist from Chris Sawicki. On Sunday, the Carnegie Cat Clinic played against the DeSimmone Orthodontics team and won 3-0. Miko Kubiak, Ben Veale and Nathan Lee did an awesome job on the defense line. Dan Polverejan, Victor Polverejan, Ben Decare, Owen Clingman, Sam Roth, JC Perez and Cameron Phillips worked hard at the offense. Cameron Phillips passed the ball to JC Perez, who scored the first goal. Jonathan Sharma was the goalie and blocked many attempts at the goal, including catching a straight-kicked ball shot from the side. He fell to the ground and blocked another goal attempt. Then, the ball rolled out to the playing field and Miko Kubiak kicked the immediate attempt to score by the opposing team out of the goal’s borders. Victor Polverejan scored twice.

DIVISION THREE GIRLS

The Hopewell Express Green Zombies shut out the Robbinsville-1 team with a score of 3-0 on Saturday. Emilie Sawicki, Kyla Machinga, Evelyn Lansing and Sarah Eschleman showed stellar teamwork for the Zombies upfront to get two goals from Sawicki and one from Eschleman. Charlotte Catlett, Makayla Scherbekow, Amrit Aurora and Sydney Tuorto kept Robbinsville from having much offensive time, but Payton Tuorto shut down the few good scoring chances Robbinsville could scrape together in goal. Sarah Eschleman quenched any hope of Robbinsville breaking the goose egg by making a great stop on a penalty shot.

Hopewell Express Zombies lost to Jack’s Nursery 1-0 on Sunday. Many scoring chances came from Kyla Machinga, Payton Tuorto, Evelyn Lansing, Sydney Tuorto and Sarah Eschleman, but they just couldn’t find the back of the net. Charlotte Catlett, Makayla Scherbekow, Sydney Tuorto and Amrit Aurora, together with another great outing by the Zombie goalies—Payton Tuorto and Makayla Scherbekow—kept the game scoreless until nearly the end.

On Saturday, HVSABlue Bull Exterminators defeated Robbinsville 2 by the score of 4-0. The HVSA Blue Bulls scoring came from Amanda Flanders (1), Sierra Mitchell (1) and Carly Brant (2), with ball control and crisp passes from midfielders Lily Ryan and Iris Lautermilch. The defense continued to play well, led by Piper Brant, Kirsten Southall and Hailey Addonizio, with Chelsea Kent and Manvi Shah recording the clean sheet in goal.

On Sunday, The HVSA Blue Bull Exterminators challenged Dahlia Floral Concepts in a 5-1 win. HVSA Blue jumped out to an early two goal lead, both being scored by Chelsea Kent. Dahlia came back with a score going into the break—and also had the opportunity to tie the game on a penalty kick—but was beautifully handled by Lily Ryan in goal. The second half saw scoring by Amanda Flanders (1) and Carly Brant (2) coming off assists set up by Iris Lautermilch and Sierra Mitchell. Defense consisting of Manvi Shah, Hailey Addonizio Kirsten Southall and Piper Brant played outstanding, stopping multiple counter attacks by a very skilled Dahlia Floral team.

Jack’s Greenhouse & Nursery faced off against Ewing’s blue team on Saturday. Jack’s Tessa Caputo opened the scoring in the first half with a goal that was a result of a pass by Katie Clarke. Goalie Natalie Kasprzyk kept Ewing from scoring in the first half, supported by the excellent defensive work of Jaelyn Krin, Lucy Antal and Shinyi Li. Tessa then made a pass to Anna Gabe who scored to put Jack’s ahead 2-0 at the end of the first half. Shinyi took over goaltending duties for Jack’s in the second half and kept Ewing from registering any goals. Zoe Dec made some great saves as goalie in the second half. Lily Gaglio, Olivia Doherty and Bella Gaglio lead the defensive effort in the second half to give Jack’s the win.

On Sunday, Jack’s took on Hopewell Expressand won 1-0. Natalie Kasprzyk’s outstanding goalkeeping, supported by Lucy Antal and Jaelyn Krin’s defense work, resulted in a 0-0 tie at the end of the first half. Anna Gabe took over in the goalie position for the second half and kept Hopewell Express from scoring, despite some intense shots. With time running off the clock, Tessa Caputo carried the ball up the right side of the field while Natalie Kasprzyk and Katie Clarke charged the net. Tessa made a pass into the middle where Katie was able to redirect the ball into the goal.

On Saturday, the D3 girls from Dahlia Floral Concepts Pink Panthers won their game against the Ewing 1 team 6-0. Taylor Wert scored the only goal for the Pink Panthers in the first half. In the second half, Ayla Mauk and Ellie Lamond each scored two goals and Charlotte DeLorenzo scored a goal with a penalty kick. Mariel Haynes provided very strong defense and Lily Panzitta played very well in midfield. The next day, the girls played HVSA Royal Blue, but lost this game with a score of 5-1. However, Rose Andreski and Taylor Wert both had great passes and Ayla Mauk scored the lone goal for the Pink Panthers. Taylor and Catherine Zeglarsky both had some good blocks on defense and Grace Stroman had several good shots.

DIVISION TWO BOYS

Regent Floor defeated Pennington Quality Market Final 3-2 on Saturday. Owen Lengle scored one goal and Finn Garner two goals. Conor O’Boyle did a great job as striker. On Sunday, Regent Floor Covering defeated Horvath & Giacin Final 5-1. Liam Jensen and Owen Lengle each made two goals, and Finn Garner scored one goal. Mateo Franco and Chris Robotti ran hard with a good hustle as a mid-fielders.

UnionLine Garage won 3-2 against Horvath & Giacin on Saturday. Defensive duo Justin and Nathan Edgington’s fearless plays—along with Joseph Ahn and Robert Taylor’s strong kicks—kept the ball at midfield and in offense. Evan Katzenbach easily transitioned between defense and offense, staying with the ball and moving it up the field only to be stopped at the goal. Elijah Barnes scored three goals, assisted by Jason Laliwala and Owen Wemple. Nick Lautermilch and Cooper Wiley completed the offensive team by showing amazing ball control, dribbling and passing to their teammates. Goalie Nigel Rodrigues made several saves.

On Saturday, Pennington Quality Market played Regent Floor Covering. Defensemen Giuseppe Panzitta, Chris Miliaresis and Erik Petrin put forth a good effort. Dylan Yasher played an outstanding game, suiting up as goalie and scoring the first team goal with an assist from Wyatt Russell in the second quarter. On offense, Henry West, Gavin McDonough and Aidan Luciano put a lot of pressure on their opponents and had some great scoring opportunities. Late in the fourth quarter, Gavin McDonough’s goal rallied the team, but in the end Pennington Quality Market lost with a score of 3-2.

Northfield Bank lost to J & V Trophies on Sunday. The team scored three goals by Logan Camilleri, Luke Hemmer and Nikolai Klein. While three goals was not enough for a victory, the team played great in a very competitive match.

DIVISION TWO GIRLS

On Saturday, The Pennington Quality Market Flower Shop played against Burwood Landscapes and Patio. Burwood Landscapes and Patio scored the lone goal of the game in the fourth quarter.

Saturday’s game of Dr. McDonough’s Live Wires and WMLM ended in a 2-2 draw. The Live Wires goalkeeper, Francesca Moriello, did a fantastic job of saving at least three goal attempts. Great interplay between Jenna Young and Emma Stowe in the first quarter, and then Kalina Kirova and Emma Stowe in the second quarter, resulted in the two goals scored by Live Wires. The many power runs, particularly by Abigail Hogan, Cassidy Hartman, Sydney Young and Emma Stowe, kept the game action packed.

The Red Lions and McDonough Lives Wires played to a hard fought tie, 2-2 on Saturday. Early in the first half, the Red Lions knotted up the score on a goal by Shreya Mookherjee. Tied 1-1 at the half, the Red Lions allowed just one goal in the second half thanks to great defense by Gerise Kelly and solid goaltending by Lila Petropoulos. The Red Lions tied the game in the third quarter on an amazing goal by Eve Szeliga.

The Red Lions lost a tough 2-1 contest to Purtuc Dental on Sunday. Ava Courtney scored a goal one minute into the game to give the Red Lions the lead. With the game tied 1-1 at half Sophia Pellegrino, Elizabeth Myers and Lila Petropoulos moved the ball down the field and gave the Red Lions many chances at the goal. The Red Lions held Purtuc Dental to just two goals thanks to outstanding defense by Bridget Holden, Meg Adelman and Caroline Ryan.

Burwood Landscapes & Patio Design defeated PQM Flower Shop on Saturday 1-0. Chloe Livecchi was solid on defense, helping to keep PQM from getting too close to the goal. Lilla Antal provided the lone goal, a solid strike off a pass from Eva Giambanco, who played her best game of the year. On Sunday, The Burwood Landscapes & Patio Design team notched their second win of the weekend, a 1-0 result against Dr. Mcdonough’s Live Wires. Maya Brown made a couple of remarkable saves, while Kathryn Finn scored the team’s only goal—an impressive strike from 15 yards out that found the back of the net. Anna Wilson had a breakout game, making several plays that led to scoring opportunities.

On Sunday, the McDonough Live Wires lost 0-1 to Burwood Landscape & Patio. Abigail Hogan had great speed as full back and Ellie Duffy used a strong foot to help the defense and keep the opponent to just one goal. Francesca Moriello had quick reflexes and stopped several other shots on goal. The offense dominated most of the game with Cassidy Hartman and Emma Stowe each taking a shot on goal, with assists from Kalina Kirov and Sydney and Jenna Young.
