Hopewell Valley Senior Services is set to host programs on estate planning, staying ft and memory loss.
October’s Coffee Connections on basic estate planning is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at 88 East Broad St., Hopewell.
Hopewell Borough councilwoman, Debra Horowitz, Esq., is set to present about important legal documents for families and individuals. She will also take questions.
Horowitz has been practicing law for 12 years with a background in estate planning, family law, domestic violence and special education. She currently works in private practice where she continues to represent underserved populations.
An opportunity to learn about Smart Steps, a program designed to raise awareness about daily physical activity to promote a healthy lifestyle, is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Pennington Public Library, 30 North Main St., Pennington.
Montgomery Township health educator Suzanne Rose is set to lead the program.
Participants in this self-paced walking program wear a pedometer that tracks the steps they take in a normal day. After establishing a baseline, they can then gradually increase the number of steps they take each day to improve their overall health and well being.
During the session, participants will be given a pedometer, a lesson on how to use it, walking/step log and educational/support materials.
This program is part of a Baby Boomers series co-sponsored by Hopewell Valley Senior Services and the Pennington Public Library. Light refreshments will be served.
Memory, Aging, and the Brain is scheduled for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at Hopewell Valley Senior Center, 395 Reading St., Pennington.
