Pennington Day is set to take place on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. centered at the crossroads of East Curlis Avenue and Main Street.
The event highlights the best of Pennington and the historic Hopewell Valley by combining community, art, family friendly fun and local vendors. The celebration is set to include pie eating contests, three stages of live entertainment, interactive games and food.
This event will span Pennington’s Main Street from The Kid Pavilion and Food Court at Toll Gate Grammar School, through town to Howe Commons’ HV Arts exhibits, to the “Green Street”.
Now in its 35th year, Pennington Day has grown over the years into a polished, yet still community-sized event that continues its charter to give back and strengthen its community.
Through the generosity of event sponsors, the Pennington Day Board of Directors raises funds in the form of community grants. In 2014, thirteen grants were awarded to local non-profits to support various missions totaling $13,500. The grant ceremony will be held during the festivities at the Crossroads Stage.
