The American Heart Association announced that president and CEO of Capital Health, Al Maghazehe, will serve as chair of Greater Mercer Heart Walk.
The walk, which supports AHA and American Stroke Association, is scheduled for Sept. 8 at the Mercer County Park Marina in West Windsor.
As chair, Maghazehe is set to lead companies, employees, residents and families from the Mercer County area toward heart health. In addition, is set to manage a volunteer executive leadership team charged with recruiting more than 3,500 walkers and raising $450,000 to support AHA and ASA research and education programs.
Maghazehe oversees a two-hospital health system comprised of Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton and Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell Township as well as an outpatient facility in Hamilton Township and network of primary care physician offices.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served as president and CEO of Capital Health since 1998.
