Relaxation, a clear mind and absolutely no rushing: this is what you can expect in a visit at Amber Spa. Soothing music, tropical fish, comfort, refreshments and more add to the spa’s modern feel, with a chilled-out atmosphere. With a focus on creating a personal spa experience, a commitment to natural products in treatments and services affordable for everyone, co-owners Garbiela Czach and Beata Giermasinska say the spa operates with its customers in mind.

Czach and Giermasinska started the business together after undergoing extensive training in both the U.S. and Europe. Working in spas in the area gave the co-owners the inspiration to start their own business.

“Other spas existing at that moment didn’t measure up in quality of the services that we were both trained in,” said Giermasinska.

Both Czach and Giermasinska said they have found that being able to provide positive changes in the lives of their clients is particularly rewarding.

Amber Spa makes staying current and up to date on treatments with natural ingredients a priority, they said. The staff attends classes and training at the spa every month so that everyone is at the same level of understanding and skill.

“In general, people come in looking for experts and we’re here to provide that,” said Czach.

The spa’s most popular offering is its anti-aging treatments. Amber Spa also offers microdermabrasion, a skin treatment that helps remove sun damage, dead skin and things of the like, peels, massages, customized self tanning, skin care, hair removal and hair and nail services to be among their most requested as well.

Some of Amber Spa’s most widely used and requested products, also sold at the business, include the brands Skin Ceuticals, Obagi, Yonka, MD Skincare, Dr. Hauschka, St. Tropez, StriVectin, Nuxe, Decleor, Z. Bigatti, Revita Lash and Intraceuticals.

Giermasinska said a top priority is making sure the expectations of their clients are met with measurable results. Both co-owners discussed the impact the community has had on Amber Spa’s eight years in business, explaining how Pennington and surrounding areas have been supportive.

Some people may think of spas as a luxury, Giermasinska said, but Amber Spa seeks to change their thoughts on the matter.

“It’s an investment into your own well-being,” she said.

Both Giermasinska and Czach have found that people are turning to other fields or services to solve problems like aches and pains when a massage or one of their services would help more or better suit their needs.

Amber Spa most often works by appointment but has welcomed walk-ins. Often, the spa serves bridal parties and gatherings for group treatments and more as the spa welcomes those who would like to plan their next event there. Specials are posted monthly on the business’s Web site.

Amber Spa is located at 16 S. Main St. in Pennington. The spa is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call (609) 737-8400. On the web: amberspa.com.
