Top Notch Soccer and Sports held the first ever Top 22 soccer awards at its Youngs Road facility on Dec. 20.
The awards ceremony celebrated the top 11 boys and top 11 girls in high school soccer in the Greater Mercer County in 2025. The winners were selected by Top Notch Soccer owner Jim Keegan in consultation with some former area soccer players.
The panel chose Ava Katz of Princeton Day School and Nico Matthews of Robbinsville High as the Players of the Year. Also recognized on the girls’ side were: Mia Petracca and Ava Prosdocimo (Steinert), Avery Whittle and Isabella Daley (Notre Dame), Becca Boggs (Lawrence), Gabby Tate and Giada Delre (Allentown), Riley Duguay (WWP South), Delaney Ross (Hopewell) and Meadow Boateng.
Award winners on the boys’ side also included Anthony Merluse and Landon Hoenisch (Notre Dame), Chris DeMarco and Chris Vega (Steinert), Chase Hamerschlog (Princeton), Raul Sepulveda (Lawrence), Nick Angiolino, Jayce Palumbo and Luca Ercolano (Notre Dame, and Aaron Merlin (Trenton).
Top Notch Soccer provides year-round soccer and sports training at its new indoor facility on Youngs Road. “My passion has always been soccer, and seeing kids faces when they step onto this new indoor local facility to play just lights up the night,” Keegan said.
