Hillwood Development Corp. has broken ground on a 36-acre speculative industrial development at 2772 Kuser Road in Hamilton Township, marking the company’s second development in New Jersey.
The groundbreaking was held Nov. 5 and was led by Ben Rosen, Hillwood’s New York–New Jersey senior vice president.
“The groundbreaking at 2772 Kuser Road represents more than just the start of construction — it’s a testament to our belief in the continued strength of the New Jersey industrial market and our dedication to investing in projects that drive long-term value for our tenants and communities,” Rosen said.
According to a company news release, the fully approved site offers direct access to the N.J. Turnpike and the broader Northeast Corridor, placing it within close reach of major highways, parcel hubs, ports and intermodal terminals.
Hillwood officials said the location also provides access to Central New Jersey’s workforce and one of the nation’s densest consumer markets.
“It’s been a pleasure working alongside the Hillwood team on this project. Their strategic vision and execution in New Jersey are second to none, and we’re excited to be part of their continued growth in this market,” said Chuck Fern, a broker with Cushman & Wakefield.
Construction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year. The building will feature a 36-foot clear height and column spacing of 52 feet wide by 52 feet deep, with 60-foot depths at staging bays.
Rosen said the project reflects Hillwood’s broader strategy of expanding its industrial portfolio in core logistics markets.
“With its excellent access and workforce advantages, this project is well-positioned to meet ongoing tenant demand across the region,” he said.
Hillwood, a privately held company, develops and owns industrial properties across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe. More information is available at hillwood.com.
