The Hamilton Area YMCA Board of Directors has announced Hamilton native Diana Zita will be the company’s new interim CEO.
David Kisselback, who has served as the CEO, will be leaving to pursue new opportunities after leading the organization for nearly two years.
“We wish David success in his new endeavors and we thank him for his time here at the Hamilton Area YMCA,” Chairman of the board John Cimino said.
Cimino said Zita brings with her a strong financial background, a love for her community and a commitment to the YMCA’s work.
Zita will continue to foster the Hamilton Area YMCA’s mission through programs and services that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, many of which are offered at low or no cost.
“It is a privilege and honor for me to lead an organization that is deeply committed to improving lives of those in the community we live in,” Zita said. “This organization has touched the lives of so many, including my own children. For me, the Hamilton Area Y is an extended family.”
Zita is a born and raised Hamiltonian. A graduate of McCorristin High School, she went on to study accounting at Manhattan College.
After passing the CPA, she proceeded to work in the wall street environments at DLJ and Lehman Brothers in New York. Expanding her career, Zita worked for a utility company and a Fortune 500 as a Corporate Treasury Manager.
After starting her family, she shifted her gaze back to her hometown with an aim to make a difference in the non-profit sector. Zita has called the Hamilton Area YMCA home for the last seven years as the organization’s CFO. An active member of the community, she sits on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Board and the Office of Minority and Multicultural Health Advisory Commission. An avid concert-goer, and outdoor enthusiast, she resides in Yardville, with her two children.
