On July 25, 2015 Hamilton Township residents gathered in the Fellowship Hall of the Groveville United Methodist Church to celebrate the reprinting of the little green historical book of Groveville, “From Locust Grove 1695 to Groveville 1980.” The book was written by Elma R. Borden and was no longer available after it’s first printing.
The Groveville United Methodist Christian Women hosted the event. The author’s family was present, signing books. More than 70 people of all ages attended telling and listening to old Groveville stories. Artifacts that were mentioned in the book were on display to help bring this book back to life.
A new generation will now be enjoying the history of this little town. This printing too was a sell out. If there is enough interest there will be another printing of the book.
