People seeking health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) can receive free enrollment assistance throughout January at Mercer County’s McDade Administration Building in Trenton and the Mercer County Connection office in Hamilton. The open enrollment period for the ACA 2016 coverage ends January 31, 2016.
Trained enrollment assisters will be at the County Administration Building located at 640 South Broad Street, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to help people compare health plans and fill out applications. Walk-ins are welcome. Trained enrollment assisters will be at County Connection, 957 Route 33 in the Acme Shopping Center, on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, January 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enrollment assistance at County Connection is by appointment only; call (609) 890-9800.
Enrollment assistance is provided by Health Insurance Marketplace SRA, which is federally contracted to help with the ACA enrollment process. People planning to enroll should bring the following information for all household members: Social Security numbers, birth dates, employer and income information (pay stubs or W-2 forms), and policy numbers for any health insurance plans.
