Ashka (age 8) and Adarsh (age 10) went door to door to raise funds for BAPS Charities Walk in Robbinsville sharing their story.
Over 550 community members participated in the opening ceremony of the BAPS Charities Walk held in Robbinsville on May 03, 2015 benefiting the Township of Robbinsville Senior Center and Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County.

The 3rd annual BAPS Charities Walk was held on May 3, 2015, to benefit the Township of Robbinsville Senior Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County. This year’s walkathon brought together over 550 participants ranging from young kids at the age of 6 to seniors at the age of 70.
The walk was launched with a traditional prayer for world peace and prayers for the victims of the Nepal Earthquake followed by an opening speech by Naimi Patel, a BAPS Charities volunteer.
The Township of Robbinsville Senior Center has been a recreational facility for senior citizens within the township since 1991. The Center sponsors activities for seniors in the areas of arts and crafts, exercise, games, and educational presentations as well as providing lunches to all senior citizens age 60 and above.
The Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County is an organization that provides young people between the ages of 5 and 18 a safe environment to enrich their lives by offering after school, weekend, and summer programs for the youth, in the hope of providing them with the confidence, hope, and opportunity.
The sponsors of the walk were Raritan Pharmaceuticals, Investors Bank, Traditions (new community in Chesterfield), Vallavbhai and Savitaben Patel foundation, Decors, Dialpyx, Dubal Law offices, Ele-dent Pediatric Dentistry, Good Neighbor pharmacy, Leading Pharma, Monroe Adult Day Care, Senior Support Services, Staples and Walmart.
BAPS Charities undertakes many such charitable events throughout the year to support local communities. In addition to the over 55 such annual walkathons hosted across North America this year, BAPS Charities hosts a variety of programs to support healthy living, environmental awareness and education initiatives around the world. BAPS Charities sincerely serves the community, by improving the quality of life of individuals and families.
