A 47-year-old Hamilton woman was killed Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on Nottingham Way, according to the Hamilton Township Police Department.
The July 8 crash occurred around 5:38 p.m. at the intersection of Nottingham Way and Donald Drive and involved four vehicles.
Police said the crash took place when a westbound Chrysler collided with a Toyota that was turning left into the Walmart shopping center.
The Toyota, a 2023 Camry driven by a 39-year-old woman from Bristol, Pennsylvania, was stopped within the intersection and preparing to turn left into the Walmart driveway at 1750 Nottingham Way.
As the vehicle turned, it was struck on the passenger side by a 2014 Chrysler 300 operated by a 19-year-old man from Burlington, police said.
The force of the collision pushed the Toyota into two other vehicles that were stopped in the shopping center’s exit lane, causing minor damage to those vehicles.
Seven people in total were transported by ambulance to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
A deceased, who had been seated in the rear of the Toyota, died from her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The remaining individuals were treated for injuries described as varying in severity.
The Hamilton Township Fire Division also responded and assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Officer B. Mandelko of the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call (609) 581-4000.
The names of the involved parties have not yet been released pending further investigation.
