The Yankees versus the Red Sox provides one of baseball’s most historic rivalries – and on Sunday, April 22, Hamilton residents can enjoy a discounted price to watch the battle of both franchises’ future stars as part of “Hamilton Day” at the Trenton Thunder.
All Hamilton residents can get a reduced price of $8 per ticket for the game to watch Trenton Thunder take on the Portland Sea Dogs, the Boston Red Sox Double A affiliate. Mayor Kelly Yaede will throw out the first pitch, while students from Reynolds Middle School will perform the National Anthem, Take Me Out to the Ball Game and God Bless America.
The first 1,025 fans – ages 5 through 15 – will receive an autograph book. Additionally, the Trenton Thunder will hold their first ever Touch-A-Truck event that day, beginning at 11 a.m. in the parking lot across from the main entrance of the ballpark.
“Our Hamilton Day is always a great day for our community’s families to enjoy Trenton Thunder baseball at a discounted price, but between this year’s match up and the Thunder’s first ever Touch-A-Truck event, this will be a game our residents won’t want to miss,” Yaede said.

Hamilton Job Fair set for April 17
Hamilton’s Economic Development Advisory Commission is inviting residents to Hamilton’s Healthcare & Special Needs Job Fair, which will take place on Tuesday, April 17, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton Golf Center Conference Room, located at 5 Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. Way, Hamilton.
“As our local economy continues to expand, we want to help connect residents with the job opportunities that exist right here in our hometown,” Yaede said. “Hamilton is very fortunate to have a vibrant healthcare sector that offers employment to many of our residents. I am also very proud that we are continuing to assist our fellow residents with special needs through our upcoming job fair.”
In 2016, Hamilton held a job fair where special needs applicants could participate in an inclusive setting with fellow residents also seeking employment opportunities. This April’s job fair continues Hamilton’s commitment to its special needs citizens. Local businesses can register for an exhibitor table for $75 by registering online. Additionally, business that may not be seeking job applicants at this time, but would like to support this job fair with an event sponsorship of $250 can also do so online.
